Entertain guests at the last minute with these simple house drinks

Spread the love

One of the best hospitality activities I’ve learned as an adult is to have a drink at home when friends come – a very simple, easy thing to hold in hand, and it was very pleasant. House drinking can be boozy or non -alcoholic, but in essence, it is not good.

My destination is a very simple cocktail and I’m not sure I can properly call it a cocktail. It’s a drink I picked up from the group at Saint -Germain in New Orleans: a sweet pour of Dolin Blanc, on a nice ice pack, with a whisk – very good in a Nick and Nora glass, but of course, there will be thin-rimmed cups. do. It’s comforting, and three meals if you count the ice box.

Here are some popular house drinks I like:

Mango Seltzer

Aishwarya Iyer, founder, Brightland

Iyer always keeps fruit seltzers on hand, and he loves giving guests a mango seltzer, with a splash of his company’s citrus champagne vinegar. But any red champagne vinegar will do.

White Negroni

Jen Pelka, Co-Founder & CEO, Une Femme Wines & Charles Bililies, Founder, Souvla

This male and female duo have accessories for the white negro in their home. They poured pieces like gin, Lillet, and Mommenpop blood-orange vermouth over the ice, then sifted the drinks into Nick & Nora glasses, adding their citrus flavors to the ice. fifth.

Arak and Mint

Mona Leena, Kahu, Lulu Berkeley

Leena mixed the arak with ice and mint, then added water to the mixture. The water that makes the drink soaked is the main ingredient in the anise flavor of the arak.

Meryl Rothstein, author and food developer, Pasta Social Club

Rothstein and her husband always have a bottle of Lambrusco happily in the fridge for guests. Their visit was the Opera 02 Lambrusco Amabile, which reminds him of the major markets in Modena, Italy, and promises the best flavors from paper cups.
