Files, Lies, and Silence: Is Pam Bondi Hiding the Truth About Epstein?

Megyn Kelly Slams AG Pam Bondi Over Epstein Case Fallout: “Her Days Are Numbered”

Tensions are rising inside conservative circles as Attorney General Pam Bondi faces harsh criticism for her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Among her most vocal critics is journalist and commentator Megyn Kelly, who has openly questioned Bondi’s competence and credibility during a heated segment on her show this week.

Kelly, who has built a reputation for not holding back when it comes to high-profile government missteps, suggested that Bondi’s role in the Trump administration may soon come to an end.

“Her Days Are Numbered”

“Her days are numbered as a member of the Trump administration,” Kelly stated, pointing to what she described as growing frustration among conservative influencers and insiders. The backlash centers around Bondi’s conflicting statements regarding the existence—and significance—of a so-called Epstein “client list.”

In February, Bondi stirred public interest when she told Fox News that Epstein’s alleged client list was “sitting on her desk.” That comment quickly went viral, fueling widespread speculation that prominent names might soon be exposed. However, Bondi reversed her stance this week, saying there is no client list and that the case is now officially closed.

The sudden reversal didn’t sit well with Kelly.

“It Was Already Public”

Kelly accused Bondi of misleading the public and embarrassing top Trump-aligned influencers who had proudly posted images of themselves holding binders they claimed contained explosive new revelations about the Epstein case.

“Pam Bondi knew she was about to embarrass some of the most loyal surrogates of the movement,” Kelly said. “Or worse, she didn’t even bother to verify what was actually in those binders. Turns out, it was all publicly available information—nothing new, nothing explosive.”

Kelly also criticized the highly publicized influencer meeting Bondi organized, which included key figures such as former Trump official Kash Patel, the current head of the FBI, and even the sitting vice president.

“She called a meeting with the heavy hitters of the conservative movement over information she either didn’t understand or chose to exaggerate,” Kelly said. “That’s not just sloppy—it’s irresponsible.”

“Blame the FBI”

In response to mounting criticism, Bondi has placed some of the blame on the FBI, claiming they withheld documents and misled her office.

“She didn’t know. It was the sleazy FBI who had kept the real documents from her,” Kelly said sarcastically, mocking Bondi’s defense. “Then she said more information would be released. It never came.”

Kelly also brought up an earlier moment where Bondi had claimed investigators found tens of thousands of files containing child sexual abuse material. But no follow-up was ever made public, leading many to believe that comment, too, was either exaggerated or misinterpreted.

No Grand Conspiracy—Just Government Failure?

Despite the mishandling of the case, Kelly made it clear she doesn’t believe in any overarching conspiracy theory.

“I don’t think there’s a grand cover-up,” she clarified. “I think what we’re witnessing is government incompetence, plain and simple. But in this case, even I’m confused. I don’t know what Pam Bondi is doing anymore.”

Kelly believes that confusion, more than anything else, may spell the end for Bondi’s time in office.

“She’s in the crosshairs,” Kelly noted. “Just look at conservative Twitter. The base has turned on her.”

Bondi Pressed at Cabinet Meeting

The controversy followed Bondi into a recent White House Cabinet meeting—President Trump’s sixth of the year—where she was questioned about the Department of Justice’s official position on Epstein’s death and the so-called client list.

A reporter asked about a missing minute from surveillance footage the night Epstein died and whether any credible client list had ever existed. Bondi’s response was seen as a backpedal.

“In February, I did an interview on FOX. I said the file was sitting on my desk. That included the Epstein case, JFK files, and MLK files. That’s what I meant—not an actual client list,” Bondi clarified.

She also said that while the surveillance footage was not conclusive, earlier evidence supported the official determination that Epstein’s death was a suicide.

The Fallout Continues

Despite Bondi’s attempts to calm the storm, the backlash inside conservative media continues to grow. For many, the confusion surrounding the case, the lack of follow-through, and the miscommunication have damaged her credibility beyond repair.

With influential voices like Megyn Kelly leading the criticism, Bondi now faces increasing pressure from within her own political base. Whether she can survive this controversy—or whether her tenure will quietly come to an end—remains to be seen.
