“The Birthday Book: Secrets, Signatures, and Shadows in the Epstein Circle”

Former President Bill Clinton Sent Birthday Wishes to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003, Report Says

According to a recent report, former President Bill Clinton was among several notable individuals who sent birthday greetings to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003. The letter, said to be written in Clinton’s recognizable handwriting, is the latest in a series of documents highlighting past connections between Clinton and the now-deceased financier and convicted sex offender.

Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, had long-standing associations with many influential figures in politics, business, and entertainment. Clinton’s name has appeared repeatedly in publicly released court documents and flight records over the past several years. However, no official evidence has ever connected him to Epstein’s criminal activities.

In 2019, Clinton spokesperson Angel Urena confirmed that the former president had flown on Epstein’s private jet on several occasions between 2002 and 2003. Urena emphasized that these trips were related to Clinton Foundation work and included stops in Africa, Asia, and Europe. “President Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa,” Urena stated at the time.

The newly reported birthday message, according to The Wall Street Journal, was written in Clinton’s handwriting and included a reflective and friendly tone. It reportedly read in part: “It’s reassuring, isn’t it, to have lasted so long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”

This letter, along with others, was reportedly collected by Epstein’s former associate and longtime companion, Ghislaine Maxwell. She compiled the notes into a custom leather-bound book that she presented to Epstein as a birthday gift.

The resurfacing of this message has reignited public interest in Clinton’s ties to Epstein, despite the absence of any criminal allegations against the former president. In previous statements, Clinton’s representatives have reiterated that he ended all contact with Epstein more than a decade before the financier’s 2019 arrest and had no knowledge of his illegal conduct.

Meanwhile, the political fallout from Epstein’s case continues to ripple through Washington. The Justice Department recently released a memo affirming that Epstein’s death was ruled a suicide. The two-page memo was intended to address ongoing public speculation and conspiracy theories that have persisted since Epstein’s death in federal custody.

The release of the memo drew strong criticism from some of former President Donald Trump’s supporters, many of whom believe Epstein’s death was part of a broader cover-up. Prominent voices within Trump’s circle, including former Attorney General Pam Bondi, had promoted theories that Epstein was silenced to protect powerful individuals.

Adding to the controversy, The Wall Street Journal also reported on a separate letter allegedly sent by Trump to Epstein for the same birthday celebration. The note, described as being printed on paper featuring a drawing of a nude woman, reportedly included the message, “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” signed with Trump’s signature placed provocatively below the illustration’s waist.

Trump has strongly denied writing or sending the letter, stating that he does not draw on his correspondence and insisting the letter is a fabrication. In response to the publication, Trump has launched a multi-billion-dollar defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal and its parent company, News Corp, owned by Rupert Murdoch.

The birthday letters from both Clinton and Trump were allegedly part of Maxwell’s personal gift to Epstein, according to the Journal’s sources.

On the legal front, Trump has also instructed Pam Bondi to push for the release of all grand jury testimony tied to the Epstein case, claiming that full disclosure would end what he labeled “ridiculous scrutiny” surrounding the late financier’s documents and connections. However, a federal judge in Florida recently denied one such request, citing legal restrictions on unsealing grand jury records.

Despite ongoing legal battles and public speculation, the documents released so far have yet to directly implicate Clinton, Trump, or other high-profile individuals in Epstein’s criminal behavior. Nonetheless, the continued revelations underscore the far-reaching influence Epstein held and the enduring questions about who may have been aware of—or complicit in—his actions.
