“Behind the Binders: What Did Pam Bondi Really Know?”

Megyn Kelly Slams Attorney General Pam Bondi Over Epstein Case Missteps

Megyn Kelly is sounding off against Attorney General Pam Bondi over what she describes as a botched and misleading handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. Kelly, speaking on her show, didn’t hold back, warning that Bondi’s time in the Trump administration may be nearing its end due to mounting backlash from the conservative base.

“Her days are numbered,” Kelly said pointedly, referencing growing anger within the MAGA movement. Much of that anger stems from Bondi’s recent reversal on what she previously called a major development in the Epstein investigation.

Back in February, Bondi stirred up attention when she claimed that Epstein’s alleged “client list” was “sitting on her desk.” This sparked intense speculation and excitement among Trump supporters and online influencers, many of whom posed for social media photos holding binders they suggested contained explosive, unreleased names. The buzz reached a fever pitch, with many expecting groundbreaking revelations to follow.

However, that promise fell apart this week when Bondi abruptly changed course. She stated that there is no such list, and that the case is now officially closed. For many conservatives, this came as a shock—and to Kelly, it was unacceptable.

“Pam Bondi either knowingly misled Trump’s most loyal influencers, or she was simply careless and didn’t check what was actually in those binders,” Kelly said. “Either way, she invited people like Kash Patel, the head of the FBI, even the Vice President, to a briefing that turned out to be a giant nothing burger.”

Kelly emphasized that the documents shared with influencers were already public records. “None of it was new. None of it was hidden,” she added. “It was lazy, sloppy, and irresponsible. And she’s acting like it’s everyone else’s fault.”

The attorney general, in her defense, appeared to place blame on the FBI, claiming they withheld critical documents. Kelly wasn’t buying it. “She’s saying, ‘I didn’t know. The FBI didn’t tell me.’ Seriously? You’re the top law enforcement officer in the country and you’re blaming someone else?”

Kelly continued to dissect the confusion, pointing out a troubling comment Bondi made in a now-circulating video. In the clip, Bondi mentions there were “tens of thousands” of pieces of disturbing child exploitation material related to the case. “That’s an entirely different matter—and now we don’t even know if that’s true either,” Kelly said. “Where’s the follow-up? Where’s the accountability?”

Despite the outrage, Kelly said she doesn’t necessarily believe a massive cover-up is at play.

“To me, this isn’t a conspiracy. It’s incompetence. It’s government dysfunction, plain and simple,” she said. “But in Bondi’s case, I honestly have no clue what she’s doing anymore. She’s completely lost control of the narrative.”

And it’s not just Kelly who’s confused and frustrated. She noted that prominent conservative voices across social media are now criticizing Bondi and calling for answers.

“If you look at conservative Twitter, it’s clear: Bondi is in the crosshairs now,” Kelly said.

The controversy boiled over further when Bondi appeared alongside President Trump during his sixth Cabinet meeting of the year. While Trump addressed major national issues—including military operations in the Middle East, a proposed legislative package, and severe flooding in Texas—Bondi was pressed by reporters about the Epstein situation.

One journalist asked about a missing minute of surveillance footage from the night of Epstein’s death in federal custody. The Department of Justice had recently issued a memo stating that no credible evidence of foul play was found, and that no incriminating “client list” ever surfaced.

Bondi attempted to clarify her earlier remarks. “When I said the list was on my desk, I meant the Epstein case file—alongside others like the JFK and MLK files,” she explained. “It wasn’t a literal list of names. That’s not what I intended people to take from that.”

As for the surveillance footage, Bondi acknowledged gaps. “Yes, there was a minute missing from the tape. We released what we had. It wasn’t conclusive, but all the evidence we reviewed supported the conclusion that Epstein committed suicide.”

Still, many aren’t satisfied with those answers. And with conservative support beginning to fracture, Bondi may be facing serious political consequences.
