Donald Trump’s ‘untouchable’ aide receives a new, harsh nickname

Natalie Harp is a name that may not immediately ring a bell in the mainstream media, but her connection to former President Donald Trump is undeniable. With a role in his inner circle, Harp has built a reputation as a fiercely loyal aide, leading some to describe her as “unfireable.”

Born in 1991, Harp grew up in a conservative Christian family in California. She attended Point Loma Nazarene University, a Christian liberal arts college in San Diego, from 2009 to 2012. She went on to earn an MBA from Liberty University in 2015, an evangelical college based in Virginia. Raised in a family with ties to marketing and branding, Harp’s path to Trump’s orbit would later be shaped by her personal and professional endeavors.

In 2019, Harp made headlines when she publicly credited Trump’s “Right to Try” law with saving her life. The law, which allows terminally ill patients to access experimental drugs, became a key part of her narrative when she was diagnosed with bone cancer. Harp claimed that the law allowed her to receive life-saving treatment, though some experts questioned her assertion, pointing out that she had received an FDA-approved treatment that was available prior to the law’s passage.

Harp’s public stance on Trump eventually led to her joining his presidential campaign. She also spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2020, drawing comparisons between Trump and the beloved character George Bailey from It’s a Wonderful Life. Her emotional testimony stood out as she discussed how Trump’s policies had impacted her health.

After the election, Harp transitioned into a role as an anchor at One America News Network (OANN), a far-right, pro-Trump news channel. There, she became a vocal advocate for Trump’s claims of election fraud, often promoting conspiracy theories. In 2022, she left the network and joined Trump’s communications team, becoming even more embedded in his day-to-day operations.

Notably, Harp accompanied Trump during his frequent golf outings, often carrying a portable printer and laptop to hand him news clips that painted him in a favorable light. These scenes were often described as emblematic of her role in Trump’s world—devoted to shaping the narrative around him. She even earned the nickname “Human Printer” due to her dedication to printing out positive media stories, even tracking down the president on the golf course to make sure he received them.

In 2024, Harp’s role expanded further when she joined Trump’s re-election campaign. During this time, she stirred controversy by posting an inflammatory video on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, which referenced a “unified Reich.” The video was quickly deleted, but it highlighted her prominent position within the campaign’s communications team. Harp also made waves by texting inflammatory messages from Trump’s account, expressing frustration about rivals running his Super PAC.

Harp’s intense devotion to Trump, however, has not come without criticism. Reports have described her as crossing professional boundaries and becoming increasingly obsessive. In one instance, she allegedly showed up late at night in Trump’s private quarters at Mar-a-Lago to deliver documents, a space typically off-limits to staff. The Secret Service even raised concerns about her behavior, labeling her a potential risk to both herself and the president.

Her eccentricities and unwavering loyalty led some of Trump’s inner circle to nickname her “Fatal Attraction,” comparing her to Glenn Close’s obsessive character from the 1987 film Fatal Attraction. Sources within Trump’s campaign have described Harp as both a headache and a vital part of the operation. Despite the complaints, she remained an indispensable figure, with those around Trump acknowledging her influence and persistence.

Through her various roles in Trump’s world, Harp has firmly established herself as a key player in his inner circle. While her behavior and role have sparked controversy, her position in Trump’s campaign and communications team has only solidified over time. For now, it seems that Natalie Harp will remain a fixture in the Trump orbit, with her loyalty and determination ensuring that she stays “unfireable.”
